Book today - lots of fun
Introducing a new puppy into your home is a fun and demanding time. Here at Pet Supersavers we believe that every fur baby deserves the best start in life, which is why we are committed to delivering our training sessions in a fun and safe environment.
The exercises taught during class are designed to enhance the human – canine bond ensuring that your puppy graduates “pre-school” as a well-mannered, sociable family companion.

As pet owners we look for different qualities in our pets. In addition to learning the puppy basics such as sit, stay, drop and walking on a loose lead, I will work with you to reach your personal training goals and lifestyle needs. My classes are kept to a maximum of 6 puppies to ensure I have adequate time for one on one attention. I believe in having fun while learning simple yet effective exercise that the whole family can utilise.

The first 16 weeks of your puppy’s lifecycle is known as the critical socialisation window, training and experiences during this time will shape their behaviours for the rest of their canine years and determine how they react to future lifestyle changes. During those first few weeks puppies will start to explore their surroundings and seek out new experiences, their ability of ‘bouncing back’ from frightening situations makes this the best time to introduce them to sounds and sights which may be overwhelming when witnessed for the first time.

A crucial element often overlooked during canine socialisation is ensuring that the experience is positive. Socialisation is NOT the Same Thing as Exposure. Most canines will encounter a diverse range of dogs and people during their lifetime and we want to make sure a good impression is left after the encounter (on both sides). Puppies should be exposed to additional breeds of dogs, sizes, colours and play styles. This is also the perfect time for introducing your puppy to things such as skateboards, balloons, hats, other animals, emergency sirens and funny sights and smells.

Puppy preschool will provide your puppy with positive and purposeful socialisation and teach them the skills needed to fit into our human world and adjust to our full lifestyles. Under-socialised puppies will almost always develop some kind of behavioural problem, such as separation anxiety, resource guarding, or even aggression. Our canines may also develop undesirable behaviours such as excessive barking, escaping and destructive chewing.

Some owners may postpone enrolling their 8-week-old puppy in any formal training because of the threat of infectious diseases or thoughts that’s it too early to start shaping a puppy’s behaviour. However, puppy preschools were specifically designed to meet the vital need for exposure and socialisation in a clean, safe, supervised environment.

Puppy Preschool is offered to puppies between the ages of 8 to 14 weeks old, with a maximum of 6 puppies per class. Classes run for 1 hr per week for 6 weeks, with a total cost of $90 per puppy. The next session of classes will commence on Sunday 13th of May, start time is 10 am. Family members and children are encouraged to attend class, children under the age of 7 will require an addition person above 16 years of age to supervise them during lessons to ensure there are no disruptions to other students
